Lane A vs Lane B — Second-Life Sales or Recycling Pipeline?

Every listing on PassCell routes through one of two lanes. Picking wrong wastes time — second-life buyers will not bid on crushed scrap, and recyclers will not pay second-life prices for depleted chemistry.

Lane A — Second-Life Exchange

For packs with remaining useful capacity — typically 70%+ SoH on verified passport listings. Buyers are BESS integrators, refurbishers, and lighter-duty fleet operators.

Lane B — Recycling Pipeline

For end-of-life assets where element recovery is the value. Pricing uses processing bids, disposal budgets, or auctions. Primary buyers are recyclers and waste operators.

Salvage without SoH data

Off-registry salvage usually defaults to Lane B unless seller explicitly marks second-life intent and documents test results in notes.
